about

27. When The King Enjoys His Own Again
This is an Old Jacobite tune, with roots that predate it in the English Civil War. It is also the melody for "The World Turned Upside Down" which was supposedly played when Lord Cornwallis surrendered at Yorktown at the end of the American Revolution. I cooked up this setting after listening to several versions of it so can’t really link, but looking at Traditional Tune Archive should be helpful: tunearch.org/wiki/When_the_King_Enjoys_His_Own_Again
If you want to hear more about the history of the song listen to Season 4 Episode 15
