about

9. Wha Saw the Forty Twa & Wha’ Widna Fecht
These are old tunes, but essentially my settings, after hearing the Cories, and various groups inspired by them I think, sing Wha' Widna Fecht fae Charlie. A much later track on this album inspired me to play these tunes. The Crosswell of Edinburgh to my ear sounds similar. I rather enjoy the Jig setting for the tune, I found it on Traditional Tune Archive.
