about

6. Drummond Castle
This setting of Drummond Castle comes from likely around 1788 by Neil Gow, in his, "A Second Collection of Strathspey, Reels, & C. (With a Bass for the Violoncello or Harpshichord: Dedicated by Permission to the Noblemen & Gentlemen of the Caledonian Hunt" You can find it on google books, but also on IMSLP: imslp.org/wiki/A_Second_Collection_of_Strathspey_Reels,_etc._(Gow,_Niel)#IMSLP338815
This tune also shows up in the Drummond Castle Manuscript of 1734.
I first played the tune on Season 4 Episode 20: www.wetootwaag.com/s4e20
